The 1981-82 Z1300 is the carburetted six-cylinder shaft-drive tourer in its later A3 and A4 form, with revised ignition and suspension details from the earlier model. It kept the same 1286 cc engine and double-cradle chassis, and was known for smooth power delivery and comfortable long-distance touring. Its weight and modest brakes were its main drawbacks.
